Last time I checked, name-calling isn’t the best way to compromise with your opponents. During a closed door Democratic caucus meeting, Vice President Biden said that, “They [the tea party Republicans] have acted like terrorists”, holding guns to the heads of the Democrats while negotiating a deal.
Biden’s remarks are not the main subject of this post. Neither is the new, frighteningly awful debt deal on the table that makes phantom cuts and raises the debt limit by $2.4 trillion. The reason I mention Biden’s meeting is because preceding his remarks, Representative Mike Doyle (D-Pa.) said this: “We have negotiated with terrorists…This small group of terrorists have made it impossible to spend any money.” Doyle personifies the true motives of the Democratic Party. He goes so far as to call the Republicans “terrorists” because they, on behalf of the American people, are trying to put a stop to reckless government spending that he clearly supports. I am GLAD that the Republicans are making it impossible to spend money. That is, Mr. Doyle, THE ENTIRE POINT OF THE DEBT CEILING BATTLE!
Thank you, Mr. Doyle, for pointing out to us what we already knew about the Democratic Party’s addiction to spending the money that others have worked and sweated to earn. Thank you also for pointing out how unintelligent our liberal congressmen can be. Please don’t get reelected.
